let's see, how many times can we say "oh shit"? Lot's i am betting,
Well for those of you keeping score, I did make it to the Doctors on Monday, She took a look and said "there is something there, i can barley see it, but it's not an infection, Go see Dr. Kim"
I now have an appointment with Dr. Kim for next week, my mouth is tasting real funny today, i mean, it usually taste funny but that's due to radiation, but this was a different then that taste.
I mentioned many a post ago, there are two main rules in my life now.
1. Don't look in your mouth, a normal mouth is not a pretty site to start.
2. Do not look in a persons mouth that has had radiation treatment, its really a bad place to look.
I broke rule #2, i looked in my mouth, that small thing the doctor saw? is now a really big thing, i mean really big, it's white, it has a hole in it, and it looks exactly (and i mean exactly) like the crater Dr. Kim freaked out on before, so for me to say "I am not happy" is an understatement.
I did some research tonight, seem this time around (if it is cancerous) i pretty much have a limited choice, that choice being invasive surgery, i have had my dose of radiation, as many of you know i really light up a room now, no i really mean i can light up a room, i can expose film in the can, i can dance to a Geiger counter.
Chemo is pretty much out, i had my cancer DNA typed to the know chemo agents and i was a "no match" so chemo is pretty much done and gone, well unless i want to let them experiment, that is an option i been told.
so that leaves "slice and dice" and the main place you get that done at (in this area) is UCLA and UCI, so it's either "go bruins" or "go anteaters" what does not sound right there?
well don't worry about me, i will do that for now, i am hoping its just a food particle and i will wake up from a bad dream, but i guess if it does go bad i will be postponing that motorcycle trip next year, well then again, i just might have to take it earlier.
Later all,
