A Quick Note

I been pretty remiss at adding to the blog lately, i don't know why, i spend most of my time here either sleeping, or not sleeping.

I seem to sleep better during the late morning times, the times between 6am and 12 noon, i still am waking up around 1am every morning with a nice dry painful mouth that i cant seem to get rid of, and from what i understand i may never get rid of, but i should not worry, its only been 3 months since i completed.

When you talk to Radiation doctors they will tell you that this is one form of cancer that will really change a person, its small changes that add up to a lot.

I was (and still am) a large person, i liked my food, just before i started radiation i was beginning to lose my sense of taste, now that i am 3 months off of radiation i still can't taste anything, chocolate burns, same as cinnamon, same as most things, breads are hard to eat, salads are dry unless smothered in salad dressing, i was never a big a fan of soups, but even they taste "gray"

When i was in the hospital last month for the "gland" issue, my chemo doctor came by to say hello, he told me what his test was to tell if you were over the treatments and back to normal, it is if you could eat Frito's, oh hell no.

You always have to keep lots of fluids with you, if you don't your mouth and tongue dry out, and then stick to your mouth.

never knew how much you would miss Silvia huh? and i don't mean the metal band.

but aside from all that all seems to be getting better, slowly, slower then i would have thought, but better, the sides of my face still hurt, you can see swelling still, but all the radiation burn have healed for the most part.

the last couple of weeks i have been getting headaches and for some reason been real fatigued, not sure what that's all about but i am pretty sure the doctor will tell me come Monday the 28th, i get to go see him to see how well a progress i have made.

I am rambling today for some reason, i blame it on the cold and the lack of sleep.

well you all take care,

Cory
