Day 20 -20 Days to go

Day 20, of 40, what more can i say? its half over.

well sort of.

But as far as treatments go it is 1/2 way there, i was told that i have shown all the side effects that i should be seeing by now, well there is a caveat, that should have been "all the side effects you will get from "radiation" have shown"

Now chemo is a different matter, my skin itches, nothing major, just itches, like when you have a tag on a the neck of your tshirt and you happen to be sunburned, not big, just annoying. It does beat the other option which is big, major skin rash, zits from hell is how i was told, but they have not shown yet, that's good in one way, i don't have to listen to one local FE i work with call me "crater face" the down side is that it means my body is not taking the chemo well, the more the rash, the better it works. I am spending more time in chemo lab now then i like, but its only from fluids, i can't keep with the uptake, so right now i am getting a couple of bags every couple days to help keep me hydrated, damn they are not flavored though.

But i am still 20 days in, i am 36 pounds down now, i have taken no breaks in treatment (according to the techs most have taken 1 break by now) and i still have no feeding tube (PEG Tube) so all in all i am doing good.

well i am going to go look for a movie to watch, one that i have not seen 50 times, later all.

Hi Cory:

It's amazing how you still have a great, open attitude about this whole situation! I wish I could find the right words to comfort and encourage you. I hope that you realize how much you inspire us, your blog groupies. :)

I continue to pray for you and hope the tumor monster goes away soon! :)

Thanks for putting up with my best buddy Christie. :)

Hugs,

Amelia
