Feel the force, i mean radiation Luke 07/20/2009

Well the days are getting closer and radiation is getting to be a reality, I spent my lunch hour today getting fitted for the head restraint and a CT scan to make sure everything lined up.

The mask is made in a different way then they use to, now it’s a nice mesh they warm up, drape over your head/shoulders area, lock it down and let it dry, old way involver tubes up your nose, plaster of paris and claustrophobia like you cannot believe, well so I am told.

Now the sad part, the medical mask is light medical purple in color, anyone who ever visited a hospital, doctors office, dentist has seen that color, now I had to have the mouth pieces in and during this time she (the person setting up the CT scan) is asking me all sorts of questions.
Now anyone out there ever play football? I mean on any level? Same type of mouth piece, so when you speak in a normal level you lisp, if you yell you sound all right, but as you speak in a normal voice you lisp.

So there I am, in a light purple face mask lisping answers to her questions while locked down on a table and can’t move, I am really guessing there is a bad bondage movie starring a gay Darth Vader out there somewhere that started like this, imagine a scene on the death star with Darth in powder purple lisping “Luke, I am your Father”

And to the representatives of Lucas films…it’s only a joke, please don’t sue me!

Ok, back to business, there will be one more fitting next Monday, just to make sure the beams all intersect where they are suppose to if all that checks out, they will start the radiation on Tuesday the 28th, so I figure 10 days from there I can save on my light bill.

So starting on the 28th is when the fun begins, I would be foolish not to say I am nervous, they have told me what is going to happen (all them happy side effects), how long it will take (40 days) I have every right to be nervous.

But I will continue on, posting and setting up bad jokes at my expense.
And thanks to the person who sent me the book, I had not read that one, but I have heard about it, again, thanks.
